Besides being a professional drummer of 40 years, my dad, who transcribes all our tunes, is a professional writer of music notation. His books have been helping drummers develop their skills for decades, and he is the creator of the "Rock Charts" column that used to be featured in Modern Drummer magazine. It's quality you can count on.

Hurry though. This coupon expires February 7.

2. Three Rockin' New Charts In The Library!

Every month we add new titles to our Digital Drum Charts Library, and then offer them all for an extremely discounted price.

This month we've got some tasty treats from Aretha Franklin, Mary Wells, and our newest most contemporary chart yet, a 2000 melancholy ballad from Bob Dylan.

Check them out below:

"Things Have Changed" as recorded by Bob Dylan (2000)
From the 2000 movie Wonder Boys, "Things Have Changed" received both a Golden Globe award for Best Song and an Academy Award for Song Of The Year.

"Chain of Fools" as recorded by Aretha Franklin (1967)
"For five long years, I thought you were my man/'Till I found out, I'm just a link in your chain." So begins Aretha Franklin's fifth hit of 1967, a sequence that began with "Respect" hitting the top in June, and ending with "Chain Of Fools" being released in December. Some call "Respect" the all time soul hit, but surely "Chain Of Fools" can't be too far behind on the list. Roger Hawkins is drumming.

"My Guy" as recorded by Mary Wells (1962)
In 1960, a 17 year old Mary Wells presented a song she had written for Jackie Wilson ("Bye Bye Baby") to Berry Gordy, who was producing Wilson then. Gordy signed her up instead to his newly formed label, Motown. Wells turned out to be the label's first artist to have a # 1 single. "My Guy" was written by Smokey Robinson, who followed up the next year by writing "My Girl" for the Temptations.
