"Emotional Rescue" by Rolling Stones
"Everytime You Go Away" by Paul Young
The Stones in a microwave, and Mick singing falsetto. My life is now complete.Paul Young is a British popster who loves the Motown thing, and you can tell in this video.
"Father Figure" by George Michael
"Fields Of Gold" by Sting
George Michael and his soft, soothing lyrics. This is Sting's biggest post-Police hit. Lots of pretty nature scenes go along with the audio in this video.
"Flying" by The Beatles
"Get Closer" by Linda Ronstadt
A bird's eye view. This was the Beatles' only instrumental, from the Magical Mystery Tour.Linda in her polka-dot dress. This song is in 7/4. She makes it sound natural.
"Glad All Over" by Dave Clark Five
"Gimme All Your Lovin'" by ZZ Top
Dave Clark was the only British drummer to play Rogers drums. This video has a very cool behind the scenes news report to let you into the frenzy a bit before the performance starts. If you haven't seen ZZ Top before, they have what I call a "downtown look." Billy Gibbons went to my high school, and he sure didn't look like this in school.
"Glory Days" by Bruce Springsteen
"Got To Be Real" by Cheryl Lynn
Here's Springsteen still in his glory days on Letterman. The music video to this tune you can compare with Sam Cooke's "Chain Gang." Both videos feature the working man (and woman) - this one has a dominant bar scene. Here is Cheryl Lynn appearing on Soul Train. Funky song and chart.
"Green River" by Creedence Clearwater Revival
"Well, take me back down where cool water flows, ya'll." Nice performance by Creedence Clearwater in this video.
